National Institute of Technology Puducherry Applications are Invited for the Temporary Post of Project Associate (PA)

National Institute of Technology, Puducherry (NITPY) situated in 258 acres near village Poovam in Thiruvettakudy, Karaikal, is one of the thirty one National Institutes of Technology. NIT Puducherry was sanctioned by the Government of India in 2009, as part of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2007–2012). National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY),  nestled in the scenes of Karaikal, a coastal enclave in the basin of river Kaveri is one among the ten new NITs in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Description

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals only for Project Positions as per the details given below for research projects, under the Principal Investigator Dr. V. Dhayalan, Department of Chemistry, NIT Puducherry in the prescribed format: –Title of the Project is “Design and Synthesis of Novel Chiral Organocatalysts: Application for the Synthesis of Natural Product and Active Drugs”. Funding Agency for the Project:Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). Duration of the post : 11 Months.

Eligibility

Position: Project Associate (PA)- 01
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/or General Chemistry with a minimum first-class qualification.

Desired Qualification / Skills :

• Preference will be given to students having experience in drug or organic synthesis in the catalysis field.
• Good programming skills for instrumentation and setting up airsensitive experiments.
• Previous working experience in R&D or research projects.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Project Associate (PA) – Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)
