Description

The research project sponsored by DRDO aims to explore the thermo-kinetic properties of filler and Ni-based superalloy interfaces during vacuum brazing. This project is a part of the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering at IIT Hyderabad. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of esteemed faculty members, including Principal Investigator Dr. Mayur Vaidya and Co-investigator Dr. Sairam K Malladi. The project is designed to last for three years, providing a comprehensive research experience.

  • Junior Research Fellow 

Eligibility

Candidates must possess an M. Tech. in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering, Nanoscience and Technology, or Energy Science and Technology. Alternatively, candidates with an M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science with a valid GATE or CSIR score are eligible. A background in CALPHAD and/or materials characterization is desirable, along with a willingness to register for a Ph.D. program.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • JRF: Rs. 37,000 per month for the first and second years
  • SRF: Rs. 42,000 per month for the third year
  • Additional 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA)
