Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore invites applications for the position of Networking & Systems Administrator in the Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing (CPDM)

The is a public, deemed, research university for higher education and research in science, engineering, design, and management. It is located in Bengaluru, in the Indian state of Karnataka. Job Description

The primary responsibility of the system administrator is to support procurement, maintenance, accounting, demonstration, use, and documentation of (the working of) all computing equipment, software tools, and computing-related consumables in the Teaching Laboratories, Research Laboratories, office, and other areas of CPDM, and supporting websites, experiments, demonstrations and projects that involve use of computing facilities. The responsibilities include the following:
(a) General computer system administration (of Servers and clients)
(b) Office network management
(c) Automated backups of databases, applications, and system configurations
(d) Tuning scheduled jobs on the servers for optimal performance and consistency, etc.

Eligibility

B Tech in Computer Science with a minimum of 01 year of relevant experience,
or
MCA with a minimum of 01 year of relevant experience,
or
BCA with a minimum of 03 years of relevant experience.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Networking & Systems Administrator – Rs. 45,000 – 55,000/- p.m. * (consolidated)
