The main campus of IIT Mandi (Indian Institute of Technology Mandi) is in Kamand valley. The village is located in Mandi Tehsil of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh. The IIT Mandi Cell was set up at the IIT Roorkee on 18^th March 2009, to steer the activities of the IIT Mandi. . The IIT Mandi was registered as a society in Uttarakhand, on 20^th June 2009.Plans were finalized for development of a Transit Campus of IIT Mandi at Govt. Post graduate College, Mandi in August, 2009 during the visit of Shri Ashok Thakur, Additional Secretary, Govt. of India, MHRD, Department of Higher Education, on Aug. 13^th, 2009. This campus will start functioning in near future and will be in operation till the main Campus at Kamand is developed.

Job Description

Indian Institute of Technology Mandi Invites application for the Post of a Project Associate-I in a DST-SERB funded Project in Physics. The Title of the Project is Theoretical investigation of coherently-coupled quantum mixtures of dilute atomic gases. Duration of the Project is 24 months.

M. Sc. (Physics)

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• 31000/- plus HRA to scholars who are selected through (a)National Eligibility TestsCSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
• 25000/- plus HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
