Description
The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is seeking a dedicated Project Research Scientist I (Non Medical) to contribute to the ICMR project titled “Investigative Centre of Advanced Research in Endotypes of T1D (i-CARE-T1D): A national referral centre for research in T1D.” This project aims to advance research in Type 1 Diabetes under the guidance of Dr. Sukrit Gupta and Prof. Navin Kumar. The role involves research and development in deep learning applications within healthcare, focusing on biomedical data analysis and medical image analysis.

- Project Research Scientist I (Non Medical)
Eligibility
• B.E./B.Tech in the domains of Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/Data Science/Information Technology from a recognized university/institute, with first class (minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA). For B.E./B.Tech holders, valid GATE gualification is reguired unless the degree was awarded by a Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) with a CGPA of at least 7.5/10 or 75% aggregate marks at graduation; or
• M.Tech/M.E. in the domains of Computer Science/Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing/Artificial Intelligence/Data Science/Information Technology from a recognized university/institute, with first class (minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA). Candidates holding an M.Tech or M.E. degree are NOT reguired to have a valid GATE gualification; or
• M.Sc. in Data Science and Management or Data Analytics or other relevant disciplines can also apply. Valid GATE gualification is reguired.
• The selected candidate shall be expected to enroll as a full-time, self-sponsored PhD student at NT Ropar in the relevant department upon joining. Admission to the PhD program will follow NT Ropar regulations for self-financed candidates and departmental shortlisting criteria, including written test/interview. No financial support for PhD tuition/registration will be provided by the project or the institute; consolidated salary and benefits will be paid solely from the ICMR CAR project grant.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 56,000 + HRA
