Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kancheepuram is an Institution of National Importance established in 2007 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and is located at outskirts of Chennai (Off Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road). It is a Centre of Excellence for pursuing Design and Manufacturing Oriented Engineering Education and Research and for promoting competitive advantage of Indian products in global markets.

Description

IIITDM Kancheepuram is presently offering undergraduate, postgraduate, dual-degree programs in the areas of Computer, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and Inter-Disciplinary Ph.D. programmers in core and applied areas of basic sciences (Physics English and Mathematics) and engineering. It functions with the vision to groom engineers with design and manufacturing skills. The institute gives a significant amount of emphasis for practice courses and theory concepts are also explored along with the relevant laboratory course. The selected candidate needs to work on the sensor development, Data collection, Data processing, Image Analysis, Machine learning and Deep Learning Model development. Research report/article writing and presentation should be made in collaboration with ICAR (NASF).

Eligibility

Position:Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with an exceptionally good academic record with the following conditions:
a) BE/B. Tech degree holder from CFTI (Centrally Funded Technical Institute) with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10-point scale or with a valid GATE score.
b) A Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering/Technology from any other University should be among the top 10 rank holders in the University and with a valid GATE score.
c) A Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering/Technology and employed in a reputed R & D organization with an excellent research record recognized by Govt. of India.
(Refer to R&D Brochure of DST).

Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology (ME / M. Tech / M Des) or a Master of Science (MS) degree by Research in Engineering/Technology or 5-year integrated Masters with a good academic record.
(or)
Candidates with a Master’s degree in Sciences/Arts with a good academic record and of exceptional merit were eligible and with a valid GATE score or CSIR UGC NET/NBHM/DAE-JEST or equivalent qualification.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

Rs. 31,000 p.m. (1st and 2nd Year) and Rs. 35,000 p.m. (3rd Year) plus HRA as per ICAR & IIITDM norms.
