Description
The research project titled “Assessing Flash Drought Hotspots and Cascading Impacts on Indian Agriculture in a Changing and Warming Climate: An Integrated Approach for Early Warning Signs and Resilience” is a significant initiative funded by the ANRF. The project aims to develop an integrated approach to identify early warning signs and enhance resilience against climate-induced challenges in agriculture. The selected JRF will work under the guidance of Dr. Vikas Poonia, contributing to this critical research over a period of three years.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess a B.Tech degree with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 and be GATE qualified. Alternatively, candidates with an M.Tech degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 and GATE qualification are also eligible. Desirable qualifications include a strong understanding of hydrology, climate change impact assessment, climate extremes, and proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and MATLAB, with a specialization in Water Resources Engineering.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA.
