National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is located in Mangalore City, Karnataka State, India. The Institute was established as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC) in 1960, and upgraded as National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. Mangalore is the headquarters of the coastal district of Dakshina Kannada, and boasts an important centre of education, business and trade in the state. Sri. U. Srinivasa Mallya, a visionary and a philanthropist, contributed immensely to the development of the coastal region of Karnataka, and his effort towards establishment of KREC (now NITK) is the most significant one. In recognition of his role as the founder and architect of the institute, the campus premises is named after him as Srinivasnagar.

The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I position purely on contract basis:

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate – 1

Eligibility

BE/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Information Technology/Information Science Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering and M.Tech./MS(R)/M.E./equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Communication Engg/Computer Science and Engineering with expertise in signal Processing, Matlab coding Machine and Deep learning, and Python Coding. Candidates must have at least 6.5/10 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university as a full time program.
A good GATE/UGC-NET score will be an added advantage

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Fellowship Rs.31,000 per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA)
