Description

The Centre for Nanoscience and Technology at Pondicherry University is seeking a Project Associate-I for a research project funded by AICTE-RPS. The project focuses on the 3D printing of rare earth-doped zirconia toughened polyetheretherketone composites through Fused Deposition Modelling, aimed at applications in hard tissue engineering. This position is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.

Project Details

Project Title: “3D printing of rare earth doped zirconia toughened alumina reinforced polylactide and polyetheretherketone composites through Fused Deposition Modelling for hard tissue replacements”.

Duration: 3 Years (Initially for one year and extendable up to another Two Years) and the position co-terminus with the Project.

Eligibility

Candidates must have a B. E or B.Tech in Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Nanoscience and Technology, or Metallurgical Engineering. An M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Nanoscience and Technology is also acceptable. Preference will be given to candidates with an M. E or MTech in the aforementioned disciplines. Research experience in 3D printing and the synthesis and characterization of ceramic materials is desirable.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs.  25,000/- per month + HRA as per AICTE norms.
