Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat in association with Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has established a NIDHI-TBI (Technology Business Incubator) named ASHINE (Association for Harnessing Innovation and Entrepreneurship). ASHINE, which is a section 8 (not-for-profit) company, aims to promote entrepreneurial activity on SVNIT campus and commercialization of R&D efforts across all disciplines of Engineering and Technology including Energy, Environment and Manufacturing. It also extensively undertakes pre-incubation activities for SVNIT students under the SSIP policy of Government of Gujarat. It also envisions developing incubation activities in other sectors in coming years with support from various government/semi government and private entities.

Job Description

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat, invites online applications for the following ASHINE, a NIDHI-TBI at SVNIT, Surat is looking for young and dynamic candidates for the following post/s. Location of the job is SVNIT campus, Surat, Gujarat and familiarity of the applicant with the city and surroundings will be preferred. The above posts are purely contractual, and will initially be offered for a period of 11 months and extendable further based on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent. Contract can be terminated with One month notice from either side.

Eligibility

Chief Executive Officer

Essential: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy from a recognized University/Institute. Applicant having an additional degree of MBA or equivalent would be given due preference
or Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science with an MBA or equivalent. Experience : The applicant must have minimum 8 years of overall work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in the start-up ecosystem, either as a start-up founder/co-founder /core team member and /or as a stakeholder of start-up ecosystem or in managing/administering a similar type of incubator or at least 3 years of industrial experience at senior management level.

Senior Incubation Manager

Essential:
Educational : Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy/Business/Management from a recognized University /Institute. Applicant having an additional degree of MBA or equivalent
would be given due preference. or
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science with an MBA or equivalent.
Experience : The applicant must have minimum 5 years of overall work experience, with at least 2 years of experience in the start-up sector, either as a start-up founder/co-founder /core team member and / or as a stakeholder of start-up ecosystem or in managing /administering an incubation centre or at least 2 years of managerial experience in R&D/Technology management, commercialization,
business development in R&D products/services.

Remuneration

• Chief Executive Officer : Depending on the qualifications /experience, selected candidate will be offered salary in the range of Rs. 90,000 to 1.25 Lakh per month (all inclusive).
• Senior Incubation Manager : Depending on the qualifications /experience, selected candidate will be offered salary in the range of Rs. 70,000 to 90,000/- per month (all inclusive).
