The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.IISER Pune runs a 5-year integrated Master’s programme, which is the BS-MS programme, and a post-Master’s PhD programme, in an intellectually vibrant atmosphere of research. - Project Associate-I (PA-I) / Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Project Associate-II (PA-II) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Eligibility
Project Associate-I (PA-I) / Junior Research Fellow (JRF) MS / M.Sc. in the Quantitative / Computational field such as Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics & Bioinformatics / related areas OR B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science / related areas. Candidates with a strong academic record, proficiency in programming & mathematical modelling, and a degree from a Centrally Funded Technical Institute or a highly recognized institute of national reputation will be preferred.
Project Associate-II (PA-II) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF) MS / M.Sc. in the Quantitative / Computational field such as Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics & Bioinformatics / related areas OR B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science / related areas. Minimum 2 years’ of research experience as Junior Research Fellow (Project Fellow) or equivalent. Candidates with a strong academic record, proficiency in programming & mathematical modelling, and a degree from a Centrally Funded Technical Institute or a highly recognized institute of national reputation will be preferred.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- PA-I – Rs. 25,000/- + 24% HRA per month
- PA-I / JRF – Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA per month based on valid CSIR / UGC-JRF / NET / GATE / Qualified National Level Test conducted by Central Govt. Depts. and their agencies Or equivalent scorecard
- PA-II – Rs. 28,000/- + 24% HRA per month
- SRF – Rs. 35,000/- + 24% HRA per month based on CSIR / UGC-JRF / NET / GATE / Qualified National Level Test conducted by Central Govt. Depts. and their agencies Or equivalent scorecard
