Description
The Department of Data Science and Engineering at IISER Bhopal is seeking a Junior Research Fellow for a project supported by the Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant through the Anusandhan National Research Foundation. The project focuses on developing AI-enabled robotic vision systems for 3D reconstruction and mapping, with applications in smart manufacturing, inspection, agriculture, mining, and autonomous robotics. The research will involve autonomous 3D scanning, defect detection, dynamic SLAM, multi-sensor fusion, and navigation in real-world industrial environments.

Project Title: “AI-Enabled 3D Mapping Robot for Precision Industrial Automation and Smart Manufacturing”.
Duration: 12 months, extendable based on performance.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech. /B.S. or M.E./M.S./MTech or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Robotics, or a related discipline with a good academic record (first class/division or minimum of 7.0/10.0 CGPA). Additionally, candidates should have qualified for a national entrance examination (GATE or NET) with a valid score/rank at the time of application.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA (18%)
