Description

The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position is part of the ANRF-ECRG Project titled “-DUST: Physics-Informed Data-driven Modelling and Uncertainty Quantification with application to Structural Twins.” The project aims to develop data-driven technologies for engineering systems, integrating computational mechanics, artificial intelligence, and digital-twin technology. The selected candidate will join an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with prestigious institutions like Texas A&M University and Penn State University. This role offers a platform to contribute to research publications, open-source software, and industry-relevant solutions, while building a robust international research network.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a First-Class B.Tech/B.E. (GATE qualified) or a First-class M.E./MTech. /M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Applied Mechanics, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Engineering, or a related discipline. Knowledge of solid mechanics, structural dynamics, or finite element methods is essential. Prior research experience in AI/ML applications in structural systems, proficiency in Python, and familiarity with advanced computational tools like ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL Multiphysics, and MATLAB are highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree and peer-reviewed journal publications in relevant areas. The upper age limit is 32 years as of 1st January 2026, with applicable relaxations for SC/ST/OBC and women candidates.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • INR 37,000 (Basic) + 20% HRA
