The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) is inviting applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) as part of a cutting-edge project on the development of a 50-qubit quantum information processor using electron spins in silicon. Description

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram, established by the Government of India in 2008, is renowned for its high-quality education and outstanding research in modern science. The institute is currently seeking applications for the role of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a contract basis. This position is part of a project aimed at developing a 50-qubit quantum information processor, a significant advancement in the field of quantum computing.

Eligibility

 Master’s degree with first-class in Physics/applied physics/Engineering physics or bachelor’s degree in in Engineering in Electrical/mechanical/Computer Science. 

Should have qualified National Level eligibility exams such as CSIR/UGC NET Category I/II/III, including lectureships and Assistant professorships, GATE, JEST. 

A minimum of 2-years of research experience, post the master’s degree, in the field relevant to the project.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• ₹42,000 per month plus HRA as admissible
