The Raman Research Institute is now an autonomous research institute engaged in research in basic sciences. In 1972, the RRI was restructured to become an aided autonomous research institute receiving funds from the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India.

The Raman Research Institute, Bengaluru is inviting application for the post of “Library Trainee”. Candidates interested in acquiring hands on exposure to new paradigms in the profession may apply. The position is temporary for a period of 6 months and likely to be extended up to 2 years after performance review.

Eligibility

Essential: The candidate must have regular MLISc degree with minimum of 70% and excellent technical and communication skills. In addition, candidate should have any degree with minimum 60%.
Desirable: Candidates with working knowledge and experience in the usage of computers, and with experience in library and information services will be preferred.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years as on the last date of closing of applications.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

Stipend:
Rs 20,000 in the first year
Rs 21,000 in the second year
