The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was inaugurated on 6th August 2016, and welcomed the first batch of students into the campus in Paloura, Jammu. In the initial phases, the establishment of IIT Jammu was done under the mentorship of IIT Delhi. In 2018, IIT Jammu shifted the primary operations to the Main Campus in Jagti, Nagrota. The State Government, Jammu and Kashmir has provided land for the establishment of a permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Technology in Jammu, which consists of 400 acres. Currently the Phase 1 A of the main campus, spread across 25 acres, is operational. Phase 1 B and 1 C are undergoing construction. The campus in Paloura currently houses the PhD scholars and is being developed into a high-end research facility.
Description
The interested applicants are invited to appear in a walk-in interview through Video Conferencing (VC) mode (the invite will be sent by email one day before the date of interview) to be held at IIT Jammu for the post of Quality Assurance Engineer to work on the Third Party Quality Assurance (TPQA) of civil works of AIIMS Jammu project in Vijaypur, Jammu. The staff will be appointed for two and a half years (on contract) or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. Initially the contract will be given for a period of six months, which will be extended up to, the duration of the project based on the satisfactory performance

Eligibility
a) B. Tech. in Civil Engineering with 55% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA.
b) Candidate should have desirable construction of RCC structure experience.
c) Candidate must be ability to read both architectural and structural drawings and familiar with IS Codes, site management, quality assurance checks etc.
d) The candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry. The minimum 1-2 years of QA/QC of plumbing work is preferred.
e) Age limit is 35 years for general category and for SC/ST/OBC/ Women/PH age limit may be relaxed as per GoI norms.
