The NSC building with its unique architecture houses several permanent science expositions on various themes. National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), the parent body of Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India with its 25 Science Centres / Museums all over the country. Position: Trainee (Education)
Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and combination of any two subjects viz. Chemistry, Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science, Astronomy, Geology and Statistics.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Chemistry and combination of any two subjects viz. Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Bio-Technology and Molecular Biology from duly recognized University(Passed B. SC. on or after 2018)
Job Requirement: The selected candidate must be fluent in English, Hindi& Marathi. He/She will be required to explain scientific exhibits to visitors, attend to minor repairs of exhibits & assist Centre authorities in conducting various educational activities including demonstration/lectures in an outside museum. The candidate will also be required to travel widely with the Mobile Science Exhibition unit on payment of usual TA/DA as per Rule.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Consolidated Stipend : Rs 14,000/- per month
How to Apply
Duration of the Traineeship is for one year, which is extendable by one year subject to satisfactory performance. Details of Advertisement and prescribed Application Form can be downloaded from our website: www.nehrusciencecentre.gov.in and duly filled-in Application Form along with attested copies of certificates in support of their date of birth, educational qualifications etc. may be submitted at the time of Test. The candidates are required to bring one passport size photograph and original certificates of their qualifications and date of birth, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the Test. No Travelling Allowance will be paid for attending the Test. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification.
