The Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad is seeking a Project Associate-I to join a project focused on developing a resilient Edge-LoRa system for early gas hazard detection in coal mines and adjacent communities. Project Title: “Resilient Edge-LoRa System for Early Gas Hazard Detection in Coal Mines and Adjacent Communities”.

Duration: 3 Years (30/03/2026 – 29/03/2029)

Principle Investigator:  Dr. Tamoghna Ojha.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech/MTech/M.S./MCA/M.Sc. in CSE, Mathematics & Computing, ECE, EE, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related disciplines. A background in computer networks, IoT/embedded systems, and wireless communication is desirable, along with proficiency in C/C++/Python programming and Linux/Ubuntu. Experience with machine learning and platforms like Raspberry Pi/ESP is preferred.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• ₹ 31000/- per month (Qualified GATE or NET) or 25000/- per month (without GATE/NET)
