The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A) was established in 1999, as a center of excellence in Information Technology (IT) and allied areas. The institute was conferred the “Deemed University” status by the Government of India in the year 2000. It was declared as an “Institute of National Importance” by the Act of the Parliament, Govt. of India in 2014. The Institute has been conceived with the objective of developing professional expertise and skilled manpower in IT and areas of allied research. As an apex institute in the area of IT, IIIT-A has been contributing towards strengthening the indigenous capability necessary for exploiting profitably and harnessing multi-dimensional facets of IT and allied areas at all levels, and attaining expertise to enable the country to emerge as a leading player in the global arena.

Description

Nature of the work: Selected candidate has to perform laboratory experiments in the areas of Nanobiotechnology, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics. Good writing skill of research papers in journal/conference is also desirable. Candidate with knowledge in molecular docking and simulation will be given preference.

Title of the Project:

“Development of composite nanocarrier of Copper nanoclusters (Cu NCs) and Carbon dots (C-dots) against biofilm infections of P. aeruginosa and understanding the underlying molecular mechanism through RNA-seq approaches”.

Position

• Junior Research Assistant (On Contract) –1Post
• Duration of the project: Initially for 1 year and extendable up to 2 years depending upon the performance.
• Age Limit: Maximum 28 Years as on 01/12/2023.

Eligibility

Junior Research Assistant (JRA) Essential Qualifications:

M.Sc./ME/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Nanobiotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biomedical/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Science/Agriculture/ Pharmacy related subjects with 1st class in graduation and post graduation.
B. Tech/B.E. degree holders from the above areas with minimum 8.5 CGPA can also apply.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Fixed Rs. 25,000/- pm (as per UP CST norms)
