Indian Institute of Technology Mandi Applications are Invited from eligible candidates for the following Post of Project Associate

The main campus of IIT Mandi (Indian Institute of Technology Mandi) is in Kamand valley. The village is located in Mandi Tehsil of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh. The IIT Mandi Cell was set up at the IIT Roorkee on 18^th March 2009, to steer the activities of the IIT Mandi. The IIT Mandi was registered as a society in Uttarakhand, on 20^th June 2009.Plans were finalized for development of a Transit Campus of IIT Mandi at Govt. Post graduate College, Mandi in August, 2009 during the visit of Shri Ashok Thakur, Additional Secretary, Govt. of India, MHRD, Department of Higher Education, on Aug. 13^th, 2009. This campus will start functioning in near future and will be in operation till the main Campus at Kamand is developed.

Description

Applications from Indian nationals are invited under the following project on temporary basis with consolidated salary. The renewal of services for few months/a year or up to the duration of the project will be based on satisfactory performance. The initial appointment will be for a period of 10 months/year(s) or the end of the project (whichever is earlier). Title of the Project : Engineering design improvisation of packaging material leading to market friendly prototypes that retains Fruit quality.

Funding Agency : Himachal Pradesh state agricultural marketing board (HPSAMB).

• Minimum Qualification : B. Tech. degree in Aerospace/Applied mechanics/Mechanical/ Structural engineering or equivalent with exposure in finite element modelling, ANSYS/ABAQUS, composite materials. Desirable: M.Tech degree in Aerospace/Applied mechanics/ Mechanical / Structural engineering or equivalent with exposure in finite element modelling, ANSYS/ABAQUS, composite materials.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs 25,000/- per month (consolidated)
