Indian Institute of Technology Ropar Invited Applications from eligible Candidates for the Following Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar is one of the eight new IITs set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, to expand the reach and enhance the quality of technical education in the country. This institute is committed to providing state-of-the-art technical education in a variety of fields and also for facilitating transmission of knowledge in keeping with latest developments in pedagogy. These two areas of focus will enable students to gain exposure to recent trends in their chosen domains of study and gain practical experience through a wide variety of activities the institute facilitates in its own campus and arranges for in collaboration with industry and other institutes. 

Description

Applications are invited for the position of Project-Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the DST-SERB sponsored project titled “Electro-photocatalysis: Merging light and electricity to generate a sustainable way for catalytic organic transformations and biologically active leads.” under the supervision of the undersigned, [Project No. SRG/2023/000816]. The Position is temporary and is available immediately. 1 year (extendible on an annual basis up to 2 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier).

Eligibility

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF) :
• Essential Qualifications : M. Sc., M. Pharm. or equivalent degree in Chemistry with 60% marks (or CGPA 6.5/10) and valid GATE/CSIR/LSNET/GPAT/INSPIRE qualified.
• Desirable skills: Research experience in synthetic organic chemistry and electrochemistry is desirable.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Commensurate to the experience (as per DST rules)
