The position of Project Research Scientist [Non-Medical (NM)]-I at NEHU is part of a prestigious ICMR-sponsored project aimed at transforming the non-surgical treatment of Robin Sequence infants. The project involves the development of a patient-specific pre-epiglottic baton plate, leveraging advanced technologies such as computer-aided designing (CAD/CAM) and additive manufacturing (AM). This role is crucial for the successful execution of the project, which spans three years from 2026 to 2029.

  • Duration: Lucknow for a period of 03 years (2026-2029)

Eligibility

First-class Master’s degree (M.Sc., M.E., MTech or equivalent) in mechanical, nanotechnology or biomedical engineering from a recognized University or Institute and/or PhD with experience in computer-aided designing (CAD/CAM) and additive manufacturing (AM) in general with knowledge of biomedical devices designing and rapid prototyping OR For Engineering, a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of engineering or technology with 75% and above with sufficient experience in computer-aided designing (CAD) and additive manufacturing in general with knowledge of biomedical devices designing and rapid prototyping. Desirable: Knowledge of prior experience in the chosen field with technical know-how of design and developing 3D printed dental/ medical casts.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Consolidated pay of ₹56,000 per month plus applicable House Rent Allowance (HRA) at 20% as per norms.
