The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, is seeking qualified candidates for a research project under the guidance of Dr. Geetha Chakaravarthi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering. The project focuses on the design and development of a non-invasive RFID-based wearable sensor system to detect atrial fibrillation in elderly patients. This innovative project aims to enhance healthcare technology for the elderly, providing a significant impact on their quality of life.

Project Details

Project Title: “Design and Development of a Non-Invasive RFID-based wearable sensor system for the detection of atrial fibrillation in the elderly”.

Duration: Maximum 3 years (Initially 3 months and will be Extended up to 3 years).

Eligibility

Candidates must have a B.E/B.Tech degree with first class in Biomedical, ECE, EEE, ICE, EIE, or allied circuit branches from a UGC recognized university or college. GATE qualification is required for JRF positions. Preference will be given to candidates with an M.E/M.Tech in Biomedical, Instrumentation, or allied circuit branches, also from a UGC recognized institution.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • For GATE Qualified candidates: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (first two years) and Rs. 42,000/- + HRA (3rd year)
  • For Non-GATE candidates: Rs. 30,000/- + HRA (first two years) and Rs. 33,000/- + HRA (3rd year)
