The National Institute of Technology, Raipur, is seeking applications for the role of Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. This position is part of a research project titled “A Digital Twin Approach for Personalized Assessment of Knee Osteoarthritis,” sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The project aims to integrate biomechanics with AI to develop digital twin models for assessing knee osteoarthritis.

Sponsoring Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) – Small Grant 

Project Duration:  3 years (initially for one year)

Eligibility

Essential: Postgraduate Degree (minimum of 60% marks of equivalent grade point) in Biomedical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering and related fields. Candidates with Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering and related fields will be preferred. 

Desirable:  Strong background in biomechanics and musculoskeletal modeling. Working knowledge of OpenSIM. Working knowledge of AI / machine learning / deep learning

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 56,000/- plus 20% HRA per month
