NIMHANS is conducting a walk-in selection process to fill the position of Project Associate I on a contractual basis. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of Dr. MV, Additional Professor of Neurovirology and Principal Investigator at NIMHANS, Bangalore. This role involves engaging in cutting-edge research in virology, cell culture, proteomics, and bioinformatics, contributing to significant advancements in the field.

Project Details

Project Title: “Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya Virus& quot”.

Duration: 2 Years

Additional Professor: Dr. Manjunatha MV

Eligibility

Candidates must possess an M.Sc. in Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Virology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or Neurosciences. Essential experience includes virology, cell culture, proteomics, and bioinformatics. Desirable experience includes research in industrial and academic institutions, diagnostic virology, immunology, flow cytometry, and cell culture methods.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000 + 27% HRA for UGC/CSIR/DBT-JRF/NET  
  • Rs. 30,000 + 27% HRA for non-JRF/NET holders

How to Apply

Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should attend the walk-in-cum-written test. Applicants must bring their resume, original testimonials, and a set of self-attested photocopies. The selection process will take place on 11th September 2026 at 10:30 AM in the Board Room and Exam Hall on the 4th floor of the NBRC Building, NIMHANS, Bangalore. Candidates are advised to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test/interview.
