The Central University of Odisha, established under the Central Universities Act, 2009, is inviting applications from eligible individuals for recruitment as Research Personnel. This opportunity is part of an ICSSR-funded research project focusing on “Livelihood Dynamics, Cultural Heritage, and Sustainability through GI-Tagged” under the ICSSR’s 2nd Call for Multi-disciplinary Studies on Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) of India for the year 2025-26. Description

The Central University of Odisha is seeking dedicated research personnel to join an ICSSR-funded project. The project aims to explore the dynamics of livelihood, cultural heritage, and sustainability among Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in India. This research is crucial for understanding and preserving the cultural and economic aspects of these communities.

Position

• Research Assistant 
• Field Investigator 

Eligibility

For the Research Assistant position, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Social Science, Management, Commerce, or a related discipline with at least 55% marks. Desirable qualifications include NET/M.Phil. /Ph.D., proficiency in software like Excel/SPSS/STATA, and experience in research projects.

For the Field Investigator position, candidates should have a postgraduate degree in Social Science, Management, Commerce, or a related discipline with at least 55% marks. Experience in fieldwork and proficiency in Excel are desirable.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Research Assistant: Rs. 37,000 per month
• Field Investigator: Rs. 20,000 per month
