Description

The National Institute of Technology Silchar is seeking a dedicated Junior Research Fellow for a project titled “Rational Computational Engineering of Chiral Frustrated Lewis Pairs for High-Efficiency Asymmetric Imine Hydrogenation.” This project is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and aims to explore innovative solutions in the field of chemistry. The position is temporary, with a duration of three years, subject to performance reviews every 12 months.

Eligibility

Applicants must possess an MSc. in Chemistry or a BS-MS in Chemistry.  NET/GATE qualification. While basic knowledge in physical/theoretical chemistry is essential, prior experience with DFT calculations is advantageous but not mandatory. The age limit for applicants is 28 years, with relaxations applicable for SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates as per Government of India rules.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs.37, 000/-p.m. for first two years (JRF); 42000/-p.m. for third year (SRF). HRA @10% if Institute Accommodation is not provided.
