Description
The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at NIT Raipur is undertaking a research project aimed at developing sustainable methods for recovering valuable metals from used lithium-ion batteries. This project is supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and is part of a broader initiative to promote environmentally friendly technologies. The selected Research Staff will work under the guidance of experienced project investigators to explore innovative solutions in materials science and waste management.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess a B.E. / B.Tech. degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry (B.Sc.), or Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification with first-class honours from a recognized institute or university. Final year students awaiting results with a strong academic background are also eligible to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with research experience relevant to the project domain and publications in process metallurgy. Proficiency in extractive metallurgy and electrochemistry is desirable.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Consolidated Fellowship: ₹15,000 per month
