Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (VNIT Nagpur) is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology in the country. It is an Institute of National Importance, named after Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Earlier, the Institute was known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE). It was established in the year 1960 under the scheme sponsored by Govt. of India and Govt. of Maharashtra. The vision of the institute is to contribute effectively to the national endeavor of producing quality human re-source of world-class standards by developing a sustainable technical education system to meet the changing needs of the country incorporating relevant social concerns and building an environment to create innovative technologies for the development of the nation.

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position (1 No.) of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST-SERB funded Research project (SRG/2023/001271). Title of Project: “Experimental study of hydrodynamics and transport of Microplastic Sediment mix in rivers”.

Essential Qualification (i) M. Tech. in Hydraulic Engineering/Water Resources Engineering/Water Resources and Environmental Engineering/ or equivalent stream. Desirable Qualifications: GATE qualified and candidates having knowledge of physical model tests, flume experiments, computational modelling of channel flows may apply.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 31000/- for first two years payable as per SERB rule.
