Vigyan Prasar (VP) is an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The principal objective of VP is to serve India’s science popularization agenda. This is achieved through several strategically important two – way stakeholder specific approaches to communicate about principles and practice of science and technology and implications for development and quality of life. Science popularization, therefore serves as a robust knowledge led tool to fulfill three mutually reinforcing public policy objectives.

Applications are invited for engagement of various professionals in VIGYAN PRASAR at Noida/Delhi office for its Weekly Science &
Technology Television Programme on purely contractual basis from professionals fulfilling the eligibility conditions as prescribed below. Weekly Science & Technology Television Programme has been planned to showcase various facets of S&T developments/facts in the country
to create awareness & interest in the country’s citizens through a weekly TV programme in a magazine format.

Eligibility
Programme Associate — Formative Research & Content Aggregation
1.Post-graduate degree in any branch of Science/ Technology/ Agriculture/Medicine/Journalism & Mass Communication + 4 years of working experience in relevant area of work like S&T Content Aggregation/Film Production/ Formative Research/ Popular Science Writing/Journalism
OR
Graduate degree in Science/ Technology/ Agriculture/ Medicine with post-graduate diploma in journalism & mass communication, media + 5 years of working experience in relevant area of work like S&T Content Aggregation/Film Production/ Formative Research/ Popular Science Writing/Journalism.
2.Working experience stated above must be in Print/Electronic/Digital Media as evidenced by programs produced/print published at reporter/content aggregator/programme planning level
3.Proficiency in written & spoken Hindi and/or English as evidenced by programs produced/print published at reporter/content aggregator/program planning level
Programme Associate — Editorial & Reporting
1 Post-graduate degree in any branch of Science/ Technology/ Agriculture/Medicine/Journalism & Mass Communication + 4 years of working experience in relevant area of work like S&T Content Reporting & Writing for film production backed with adequate content research experience and editorial experience, preferably as a copyeditor/desk editor OR Graduate degree in Science/ Technology/ Agriculture/ Medicine with post-graduate diploma in journalism & mass communication, media + 5 years of working experience in relevant area of work like S&T Content Reporting & Writing for film production backed with adequate content research experience and editorial experience, preferably as a copyeditor/desk editor
2. Working experience stated above must be in Print/Electronic/Digital Media as evidenced by programs produced/print published at reporter/content aggregator/program planning level
3. Proficiency in written and/or spoken Hindi & English as evidenced by by programs produced/print published at reporter/content aggregator/program planning level
Programme Associate — Content Check & Quality Assurance 1.Post-graduate degree in any branch of Science/ Technology/ Agriculture/Medicine/Journalism & Mass Communication + 4 years of working experience in relevant area of work like S&T Content Aggregation, Analyses and Fact Checking with Quality Check & Assurance of the final product to be delivered. OR Graduate degree in Science/ Technology/ Agriculture/ Medicine with post-graduate diploma in journalism & mass communication, media + 5 years of working experience in relevant area of work like S&T Content Aggregation, Analyses and Fact Checking with Quality Check & Assurance of the final product to be delivered
2. Working experience stated above must be in Print/Electronic/Digital Media as evidenced by programs produced/print published at QA/QC/reporter/content aggregator/program planning level
3. Proficiency in written & spoken Hindi & English as evidenced by by programs produced/print published at reporter/content aggregator/program planning level
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Programme Associate Rs. 60,000- Rs.70,000/ (will be fixed by the selection committee)
