The University of Allahabad’s Department of Botany is seeking a Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for a UPCST sponsored project titled “Microalgal Remediation of Food Industry Wastewater Coupled with Biodiesel Production and Carbon Dot Synthesis.” This project, led by Dr. Shivam Yadav and Dr. Ritu Mishra, aims to explore innovative solutions for environmental sustainability. The position is temporary and will be governed by the guidelines of the funding agency CST U.P. and the service conditions of the University of Allahabad.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess an M.Sc. in Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Science, or Biochemistry with first-class marks in both undergraduate and postgraduate examinations. Preference will be given to those with experience in microbiology, algal biology, nanomaterials, and wastewater bioremediation. The maximum age limit is 28 years as of April 1, 2025, with age relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- INR 25,000 per month for the first two years
- INR 28,000 per month for the third year
