National Institute of Technology Warangal, formerly known as Regional Engineering College was established in1959. Over the years it has developed into a premier institute of higher learning and is ranked among the top 20 technical education institutions in India. There are 14 departments offering eight undergraduate and 31post graduate programmes besides doctoral programmes. About 5000 students across the country and about 500 international students study on the campus. Event Introduction
This workshop would help in bringing out new simplified and effective teaching techniques of environmental biotechnology and concepts for a thorough understanding of the students. The programme would help the participants in understanding the importance of water and wastewater reuse, and treatment in various applications of the industry and daily public life. Participants would learn the recent advancements in biological wastewater treatment strategies used in water treatment plants. Participants could learn the analysis methods used for water and wastewater characterises. Participants could understand the challenges and prospects in environmental biotechnology and could make students realize possible outcomes /errors in their laboratory experiments.Free accommodation and food Travelling allowance will be included.
Topics to be Covered
- To update the participants with the recent advances in new biological treatment methods for drinking water and wastewater treatment.
- To enhance the understanding of the new methods and materials used for water reuse, drinking water treatment, industrial and municipal wastewater treatment.
- To empower the teaching and learning capabilities of the participants with emphasis on improvisation of their teaching skills of advanced topics of Environmental Biotechnology.
- To equip the participants with the knowledge of the experimental technique for teaching and research in Environmental Biotechnology.
Who can Apply?
- PG and Ph.D. students of areas of Biochemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Waste Management and related interdisciplinary areas.
- Recently completed PG scholars are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have completed Ph.D. will not be considered. The number of seats is limited to 25 (15 PG + 10 Ph.D.)
