The National Museum Institute of the History of Art, Conservation and Museology was formed and registered on January 27, 1989 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and was accorded the status of ‘Deemed to be University’ on April 28, 1989. Since its inception, the Institute has been one of the leading centres in the country for training and research in the field of art and cultural heritage. The Institute is situated within the premise of the National Museum with an objective that students can have direct exposure to the masterpieces of art and cultural heritage and have easy access to the facilities of the National Museum such as its laboratory, library, storage/reserve collection and technical support sections for a holistic learning.

Description

National Museum Institute of History of Art, Conservation and Museology is a Deemed to be University and Autonomous Body under Ministry of Culture, Government of India, conducting courses at M.A. and Ph.D. level for the last 31 years.

Applications are invited from the eligible and dynamic candidates for one post of Superintendent as under

Eligibility

Position:Superintendent

(a) A degree or equivalent from a recognized University
(b) At least 5 years experience of working in Central/State Govt. offices/universities and similar other institutions
(c) Sound Knowledge of rules/regulations, practices of working in Central/State Govt. Offices, Universities etc.

(i) The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately proceeding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years.
(ii) Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Vice-Chairman of the Institute in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
(iii) Qualifications and experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Vice-Chairman of the Institute/Competent Authority in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection, the Competent Authority is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available in fill up the vacancy reserved for them.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Pay Matrix : Rs.35400-112400, 7th CPC, Pay Level-6 (Pay Scale: PB-2: Rs. 9300-34800 GP – Rs.4200 of 6th CPC + admissible allowances)
