The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) is inviting applications from Indian nationals for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Associates (PA-I and PA-II) for a research project funded by ISRO. Description
The project titled “Hydraulic and tribological characterization of additive manufactured fluid components based on experimental studies and optimization of process parameter for LPREs” is funded by ISRO and led by Dr.-Ing. M. Duraiselvam, Professor (HAG) at the Department of Production Engineering, NIT Trichy. The project involves 3D CAD modeling, 3D printing, simulation, CFD analysis, optimization, conducting experiments, tribological characterization, data analysis, and report generation. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to register for M.S. (By Research) or Ph.D. at NIT Trichy, subject to fulfilling the institute’s norms.

Eligibility
JRF: B.E/B.Tech or M.E/MTech with First class in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy/Aero from UGC recognized University with valid GATE score.
Project Associate – I: B.E/B.Tech or M.E/MTech with First class in Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Aero from UGC recognized University
Project Associate – II: B.E/B.Tech or M.E/MTech with First class in Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Aero from UGC recognized University and 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in industrial or academic institutions.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- JRF: Rs. 37,000/- + 20% HRA (for GATE qualified candidates)
- Project Associate I: Rs. 31,000/- + 20% HRA
- Project Associate II: Rs. 35,000/- + 20% HRA
