National Institute of Technology Nagaland, an Institute of National importance is a higher education technical Institute located at Chumukedima (Dimapur), Nagaland. It is one among the ten newly approved NITs by the Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five Year Plan and it started functioning from the academic year 2010. Initially, this Institute started its journey under the mentorship of National Institute of Technology Silchar in Assam. It functioned in the campus of NIT Silchar for two years. Land for permanent campus was identified for the Institute during January 2012 and it is located at a hilly terrain area at Chumukedima near Dimapur, Nagaland.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals to work as JRF/PA in a Research Project (funded by Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India) at National Institute of Technology New Delhi.
Title of Research Project:
“FPGA/Adaptive-SoC Implementation of Deep Learning framework for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) system”
Position
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Assistant
Eligibility
Essential Educational Qualification: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
M.E./M.Tech. in VLSI Systems / Microelectronics
and VLSI Design / Electronics and Communication Engineering with at least 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a scale of 10)
Desirable:
(1) Candidate should have GATE/NET qualification.
(2) Candidate should have experience in Verilog coding with system implementation of logic circuits on FPGA Boards.
Note: The Junior Research Fellow will have option to register for Ph.D. program in the institute; the candidate must meet the essential qualifications and qualify written examination & interview of Ph.D. admission of institute.
Essential Educational Qualification: For Project Assistant(PA)
B.E./B.Tech. Electronics and Communication
Engineering / Computer Science and Engineering with at least 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a scale of 10).
Desirable: (1) Candidate should have GATE qualification. Candidate should have experience in programming language like C/C++/Python etc.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
Junior Research Fellow – Consolidated Monthly Salary Rs.37,000/- +8% HRA.
Project Assistant – Consolidated Monthly Salary Rs.15,000/-
