The National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa) is a premier technical Institute of the region. NIT Goa was established in the year 2010 by an act of parliament (NIT act 2007) and it is declared as ‘Institute of National Importance’. NIT Goa is an autonomous institute and functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India. The campus is located at Farmagudi, Ponda approximately 29 km southeast of Panaji, the capital of Goa and it is a temporary campus. The state of Goa is well connected by road ways, rail ways and air ways with various parts of the country.

Advertisement for the Position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the R&D Project of C2S scheme, MeiTY, Govt. of India EE-9/2/2021-R&D-E dated 22.05.2023 Applications are invited from interested and highly motivated candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the R&D project entitled “Design and Development of FPGA Accelerator IP for Deep Neural Network (FAipDNet)” funded under Chips to Startup (C2S) Programme, MeiTY, Govt. of India under the supervision of Dr. Amol D. Rahulkar, Chief Investigator in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NIT Goa. The duration of the project is 5 Years. The details of post, essential qualifications and fellowship are as under: Job role and skill requirements 1. Developing image processing and Machine/Deep learning algorithms. 2. MATLAB, Verilog/VHDL, FPGAs and Python programming 3. Good Technical and Communication Skills.

Position

• Junior Research Fellow(JRF) – 1 Post

Eligibility

• Essential qualifications: M.E/M.Tech./M.S in relevant specialization of Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/Computer Engineering with minimum of 60% marks (or a minimum of CPGA of 6.5 on a 10- point scale). For SC/ST candidates a minimum 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 55% marks and A GATE qualification obtained by candidate at some point in time.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Junior Research Fellow – Rs. 31,000/- pm + HRA as per norms (Total =35,960.00 pm)
