Description

The National Institute of Technology Durgapur is seeking a qualified Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to join a project focused on developing AI-optimised solutions for the sustainable treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater. This project aims to integrate advanced decontamination systems to address environmental challenges posed by pharmaceutical waste. The selected candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Prof. Gopinath Halder, and will be expected to contribute significantly to the research objectives.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess an M.E/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemistry, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Microbiology, or an allied subject with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks from a recognized institute or university. Alternatively, an M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Nanotechnology with a GATE score and the same academic requirements is acceptable. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in membrane-driven wastewater treatment technology.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month for the 1st and 2nd year
  • Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month for the 3rd year
  • Accommodation inside NITD campus is subject to availability; if availed, HRA will not be provided.
