Description

The National Institute of Technology Calicut is conducting an offline walk-in interview for the engagement of a Project Research Scientist on a contract basis. This position is part of a research project sponsored by ICMR, Government of India, focusing on spatio-temporal predictive modelling of mental well-being using GIS, climate, and environmental determinants in India. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to enroll for a Ph.D. at NIT Calicut, subject to fulfilling the institute’s Ph.D. rules and regulations.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./MTech. (or Integrated MTech) in Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent from an Institute of National Importance or AICTE-approved University/Institution with a minimum of 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10) in M.E./MTech. Alternatively, candidates with a B.E./B.Tech. from an Institute of National Importance with a minimum of 85% marks or 9.0 CGPA (out of 10) are eligible. A relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA is applicable for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Desirable qualifications include GATE/NET qualification and proficiency in computer programming.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 56,000/- per month plus 20% HRA (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute)
