The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), an autonomous organisation under the Union Ministry of Rural Development, is a premier national centre of excellence in rural development and Panchayati Raj. Recognized internationally as one of the UN-ESCAP Centres of Excellence, it builds capacities of rural development functionaries, elected representatives of PRIs, bankers, NGOs and other stakeholders through inter-related activities of training, research and consultancy. The Institute is located in the historic city of Hyderabad in Telangana state. The NIRD&PR celebrated its Golden Jubilee Year of establishment in 2008. In addition to the main campus at Hyderabad, this Institute has North-Eastern Regional Centre at Guwahati, Assam to meet the NE-regional needs.

NIRD&PR is the country’s apex organisation for undertaking training, research and action research and consultancy in all aspects of rural development.
NIRD&PR invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of
Consultant for Maintenance of Garden works on contract basis. The requirement for the position viz. qualifications, experience, age, remuneration, etc. is as follows

Essential :
i) B.Sc. (Horticulture) from a recognised University
Desirable :
Study of subjects like Botany/ Agriculture/ Horticulture at the under-graduate levels
Experience :
i) Minimum experience of five years in Government sector or 10 years of experience in Private sector.
ii) Practical experience in maintenance and operations of Gardens (or) Retired employees of Horticultural/ Agricultural field.
Age: Upto 62 years
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
Consolidated remuneration : Rs.30,000/- p.m. in case of private sector and for Govt. employees, the consolidated remuneration will be last basic pay minus pension plus TRA as admissible at the time of retirement, as per the OM dt.9.12.2020 of Ministry of Finance.
