Description

The project titled “Translating Multi-Omics Molecular Signatures into a Rapid Paper-Based Diagnostic Device for Differentiating Gram-Positive, Gram-Negative, and Fungal Sepsis” is a cutting-edge initiative funded by ICMR. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing and fabricating paper-based microfluidic devices and lateral flow devices. This involves designing, fabricating, and characterizing devices for detecting sepsis biomarkers, validating the device, and standardizing the ELISA method. The role requires frequent collaboration with the ESIC team and travel to the ESIC hospital in Hyderabad for project-related work.

Project Details

Project Title: “Translating Multi-Omics Molecular Signatures into a Rapid Paper-Based Diagnostic Device for Differentiating Gram-Positive, Gram-Negative, and Fungal Sepsis”.

Duration: Three years

Eligibility

  • Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): First-class post-graduate degree (M.Sc./MS) in Life Sciences/ Chemistry with a minimum of 3 years of experience, of which at least two years should be in the area of developing Lateral flow devices.
  • Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): First-class post-graduate degree (M.Sc./MS/Ph.D.) in Life Sciences/ Chemistry. 1 to 2 years of experience and GATE/NET qualifications will be an added advantage.
  •  Project Technical Support: First-class post-graduate degree (M.Sc./MS) in Life Sciences, Clinical Chemistry. First-class post-graduate degree (M. Tech.) in Biomedical Engineering/ Bioengineering/ Biotechnology/ Medical Devices.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): Rs. 67000+20100 (30% HRA) Total Rs. 87,100/- per month
  • Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Rs. 56,000/- + 27% HRA of Rs.15,120/-; Total Rs. 71,120/- per month
  •  Project Technical Support: Rs. 28,000/- + 30% HRA, Total Rs. 36400/- per month for two years with an increase of 5% in the third year
