IDEMI is an Organization established by the Government of India in the year 1969 as a service to Instrument Industry Organisation. The main objective of setting up this Institute was to gear up the growth potential of indigenous instrument industry and hence to meet the ever growing instrumentation needs of the country by augmenting productivity quality control in industrial sector – be it in Electrical, Electronics or Process Control Instruments. The Institute is looked upon a nodal centre in view of its multifarious activities offered to suit various needs of instrument industry.

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India has established various Autonomous Bodies (MSME-Technology Centres) across the nation and these centres primarily support industry particularly MSMEs by providing technical assistance & business advisory support. The Principal Director being the Executive Head of Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) shall be responsible for day-to-day management and affairs of the Technology Center and shall exercise powers under the direction, superintendence and control of Chairman of the Governing Council. It shall be the duty of Principal Director to co-ordinate and exercise general supervision of over all activities of the FFDC.

Eligibility

Educational qualification
Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry/ Botany/ Agronomy or degree in Chemical Technology/ Chemical Engg./ Agriculture Engg. from a recognized University / Institution.
Desirable: Doctoral degree in Chemistry / Botany / Agronomy or Post- Graduate degree in Chemical Technology/ Chemical Engg.or Agricultural Engg. Or Post Graduate Diploma or degree in Management/ Computer Science.
Experience Essential: 15 years experience in a responsible position in an Industrial Establishment / technical / R&D organization dealing with fine chemicals/ phyto-chemicals or aromatic and medicinal plants cultivation/processing or creation of fragrance/flavours, or quality management in phyto-chemicals and fine chemicals.
Preferable: Experience in production/ R&D work/ teaching/ conducting training programmes in organizations dealing with aroma Chemicals, essentials oils, flavours & fragrances, aromatic & medicinal plants, spices and oleo resins. Experience in Human Resource and Financial Management, Industrial Relations and General Administration.(In case of exceptionally deserving suitable & meritorious candidates, requirements of experience can be relaxed at the discretion of Chairman, Governing Council
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
