The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. It has tried to increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) by offering high-quality teaching through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.The University began by offering two academic programmes in 1987, i.e., Diploma in Management and Diploma in Distance Education, with a strength of 4,528 students.The University offers about 200 certificate, diploma, degree and doctoral programmes, with a strength of nearly 250 faculty members and 230 academic staff at the headquarters and regional centres and over 35,000 academic counsellors from conventional institutions of higher learning, professional organisations, and industry among others.

Public Information Unit of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) proposes to appoint consultants (Senior Consultant and Consultant) at its Headquarters, Maidan Garhi for a period of two years extendable every six months.

Eligibility
Senior Consultant
Must have a PG degree in Management (MBA preferably in Marketing) with 55% & above
Should have at least 5 years of experience in organizing Educational Conferences/Events/Meet at National and International Level or in Electronic Media/Social Media and Media Management /Open & Distance Learning Student Support in ODL System.
Working knowledge of computers with content writing skills for press releases and ads, Media relations in print & digital publications, & electronic channels, working experience in distance education institutions preferred.
Consultant
Must have a PG degree with 55% & above and should possess a diploma/Certificate in journalism and mass communication/Public Relation/Media from a recognized university or Government institution.
At least, 5 years of experience in Advertising, press relations, public relations, media management in higher education industry and extensive experience in planning, implementing and monitoring the Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Senior Consultant 50,000/ – 60,000/-
- Consultant 40,000/ – 50,000/-
