Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) was constituted in the year 1987 by renaming the erstwhile Indian Forest College, which was originally established in 1938 for training senior forest officers. It is situated in the New Forest campus of Forest Research Institute (FRI) on Chakrata Road (NH-72),five kilometers from Dehradun town. IGNFA is currently functioning as a Staff College for the officers of the Indian Forest Service (IFS).
Description
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of staff Technical Associate position in the library on purely contractual basis. The engagement of staff will be initially for the period of one year, which may be extended after review of the performance of the incumbent. A) Essential qualification:
(1) Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science with at least 55% marks or its equivalent from a recognized university
(2) Experience: Experience of Working in any government/autonomous/private
Academic/Educational/Training organization for at least 15 years and handling of research database management related projects and proven experience of digitization of library.
B) Desirable: PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or BCA equivalent along with good knowledge of Library Software from any recognized institution.
Candidates with relevant experience and knowledge of Library Automation, E-office file movement, uploading the documents on webpage, Digital Library, and Information Management will be preferred.
