The Office of Dean, Administration is looking for suitable Indian nationals including Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCis) for appointment on the following: Applications are invited for a Project Associate (PA)  Smart Materials, Structures, and Systems (SMSS) Lab SMSS Lab works in robotics, smart materials, and other smart systems. Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems (HFSS) Studios. HFSS Studios works at the intersection of Human Factors, Interaction Design, and Systems Engineering.Project Title: – Development of an Intelligent Sit-to-Stand (STS) and Mobility Support System for the Elderly.Department of Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities: –

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.

Eligibility

Essential Skillset: The ideal candidate should have,Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role Portfolio of design projects Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe.cc and InVision) Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Team spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Good time-management skills.

Minimum Qualification: MDes (preferred)/BDes with experience.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Salary: Rs. 21,600-1,800-54,000 per Month.
  (Higher starting salary may be considered for exceptionally qualified/experienced candidates as per IITK Rules).
