The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was inaugurated on 6th August 2016, and welcomed the first batch of students into the campus in Paloura, Jammu. In the initial phases, the establishment of IIT Jammu was done under the mentorship of IIT Delhi. In 2018, IIT Jammu shifted the primary operations to the Main Campus in Jagti, Nagrota. The State Government, Jammu and Kashmir has provided land for the establishment of a permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Technology in Jammu, which consists of 400 acres. Currently the Phase 1 A of the main campus, spread across 25 acres, is operational. Phase 1 B and 1 C are undergoing construction. The campus in Paloura currently houses the PhD scholars and is being developed into a high-end research facility.
Description
The interested applicants are invited to appear in a walk-in interview offline (additional details will be provided to the shortlisted applicants) to be held at IIT Jammu for the post of Junior Research Fellow to work on the project titled “Lightweight Multi-Functionally Graded Meta-Structure of Lattice Infilled Annular Tubes for Enhanced Energy Absorption” sanctioned by DRDO. The staff will be appointed for two years (on contract) or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier

Eligibility
- Junior Research Fellow – The candidate must have sound knowledge of Applied Mechanics/Structural Engineering. The candidate should have good knowledge of technical writing. The prior publication record will be preferred.
- The candidate must have a logical understanding, analytical and computational capability, handson experience in CAD softwares and sound knowledge on finite element analysis.
- Knowledge of MATLAB/C/Python programming, ABAQUS, and GATE qualification will be an added advantage
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Junior Research Fellow – Rs. 31000/-(p/m + HRA @16%)
