Description

The ANRF Junior Research Fellow (ANRF JRF) position is part of a project focused on the “Coupled Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical Analysis of Gas Hydrate Dissociation and Slope Stability in the Krishna-Godavari Basin under Climate Change.” The selected candidate will engage in research that examines the geomechanically behaviour of offshore gas hydrate-bearing sediments during gas hydrate dissociation, developing numerical models to simulate these processes under various climate scenarios.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess an MTech. in Geotechnical Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Soil Dynamics, Earth Sciences, or equivalent specializations, and must be GATE qualified. A B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or Earth Sciences is also required. Candidates awaiting their MTech. results are eligible to apply. Desirable qualifications include experience in constitutive modelling, numerical modelling, slope stability analysis, and proficiency in FLAC, Python, or PLAXIS.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • ₹37,000 per month plus 20% HRA for the first two years
  • ₹42,000 per month plus 20% HRA for the third year
  • HRA is applicable in lieu of non-availability of hostel accommodation
