Advertisement for Technical Assistant & Laboratory Assistant Positions in Sponsored Projects Applications are invited from committed skilled/semi-skilled personnel for the following temporary positions to work in the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Sponsored Projects undertaken in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Hyderabad.
Position
- Technical Assistant 01 Post
- Laboratory Assistant : One/two (The number of posts subject to change)
Eligibility
Technical Assistant : Minimum Qualifications: First class Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years of experience or First class B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering with 1 year experience.
Desirable: The candidate should preferably have prior experience in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Laboratory related jobs. Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
Job Description: The candidate should be able to assist in conducting small-scale and large-scale laboratory experiments. Help research students with their research. Shall be able to learn and maintain laboratory equipment, spares, log books, etc.
Laboratory Assistant:
Minimum Qualifications: SSC (10th class) with at least 50% marks.
Desirable: The candidates with a Fitter certificate from the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) will be given preference. The candidate should preferably have prior experience in Civil Engineering related jobs, especially pavement construction, soil testing, etc.
Job Description: • The candidate should be able to assist the laboratory in preparing large-scale test beds involving granular base and subbase materials and soils. • The candidate should assist the research scholars working on the project. The lab assistant should also help the researchers during field construction and testing programs.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Technical Assistant :A consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000/– per month.
- Laboratory Assistant : A consolidated pay of Rs. 15,000-18,000/ per month as per the approved norms for the project.
