Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. Science/ Metallurgical Engineering and Material Science or equivalent branches with a valid Gate Score OR M. Tech/ M. E. in Machine Design /Manufacturing/ Metallurgy and Materials Science/ Computational Mechanics / Thermal engineering /CAD-CAM/ Additive Manufacturing or related area with GATE Qualified OR PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related area.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
Junior Research Fellow(JRF) – (Pay Recommended (Rs.)31000+HRA (Rs.)4960) +1250 Rs.37,210.00. /- per month.
How to Apply
The candidate will be required for the design and development of multiwire plasma welding system and metallurgical analysis of the samples for wire arc additive manufacturing process. The knowledge of the simulation of additive manufacturing process using any finite element based software and metallurgical model of multiwire deposition will be preferred. The knowledge of robotic-cell for wire arc additive manufacturing process and knowledge of CAD –CAM software will be an added advantage for the project.
