Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant (RA) (on contract) in a research project titled “Road object detection during rainy nights for autonomous vehicles” in reference to the sanction order no. CST/D-1396 dated 20.10.2023, by Council of Science and Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The duly completed application in the prescribed format (Annexure-1) along with copies of the supporting documents must reach Dr. Navjot Singh, Room No. 5220, CC-III, Department of Information Technology, IIIT Allahabad, Devghat, Jhalwa, Prayagraj-211015, Uttar Pradesh on or before December 15, 2023 (last date has been extended). The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the post of Research Assistant (RA) (on contract) in the CSTUP project”. A soft copy of the application, along with supporting documents as a single PDF, should also be sent to navjot@iiita.ac.in (Principal Investigator of the project) with the same subject. The applicant should be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility

Essential Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech., M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering and allied areas, with
high academic attainment, with first class in graduate examination and post-graduate examination (if applicable). Candidates with higher qualifications may also apply.
Desirable Skills: The applicant may be preferred if she/he has knowledge of Deep Learning and Computer Vision, and good programming skills in Python.

Project Duration: Three (03) years or date of completion of the project, whichever is earlier
Age Limit: 28 years as of 01.04.2023

Remuneration

• Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 per month (fixed). No HRA will be admissible.
