The Division of Environmental Sciences at ICAR-IARI is conducting an online interview to fill various contractual positions under projects such as the National Agricultural Climate Action Platform (NACAP), DST-National Mission for Sustaining Himalayan Ecosystems (NMSHE)-TF-Agriculture project, and assessments on climate change-related agricultural losses for national communications to UNFCCC. These projects focus on climate action, sustaining ecosystems, and assessing agricultural vulnerabilities and adaptations.

- Young Professional I:
Project Title: “Under the National Agricultural Climate Action Platform (NACAP) “.
- Project Assistant-II:
Project Title: “Under National Mission for Sustaining Himalayan Ecosystems-Taskforce on Agriculture project (NMSHE)”.
- Young Professional II:
Project Title: “Assessments on climate change related agricultural losses, damage, impacts, vulnerability and adaptation for national communications”.
Funded by: (BTR and FNC) to UNFCCC (MOEF&CC)
Tenure: The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis.
Eligibility
- Young Professional I: Master’s degree in microbiology/Agricultural Microbiology/ Chemistry. Master’s degree with specialization in Environmental Sciences/ Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry. Master’s Degree/M.Sc. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Microbiology, Agronomy. M.Tech. in Hydrology/ Water Resources Engineering/ Soil and Water Conservation Engineering/Irrigation and Drainage Engineering or its equivalent. Post graduate degree in Agriculture/ basic science (Life Sciences) or graduate/post graduate degree. Master’s Degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Genetics/Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences. Agricultural Meteorology / Agrometeorology/Agricultural Physics, Environmental Science/Climate Science / Atmospheric Science/Agronomy. B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology / Agricultural Microbiology. Graduation in Agricultural Sciences/ Horticulture/Natural Resource Management /Science. Master’s degree in Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Natural Resource Management.
- Young Professional II: MSc/or PhD in Geoinformatics/climate science/AI/ML/Data Science.
- Project Assistant-II: MSc/MTech/ME/MCA in computer science/ Information Technology/Atmospheric science/Geomatics / Geo informatics /AI/ML. MSc/or PhD in Agronomy, social sciences, environmental sciences.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Young Professional (YP-II): – Rs. 42,000/- (Fixed)
- Young Professional (YP-I):- Rs. 30,000/- (Fixed)
- Project Associate-II (PA-II):- Rs. 35,000/month+24% HRA for 1 st& 2nd year and 42,000/month+24% HRA for 3rd, 4th and 5th year.
- Project Assistant (PA):- Rs. 20,000/-+24% HRA for 1st, 2nd & 3rd year and @23,000/month+24% HRA for 4th and 5th year
